So it appears that they used a kind of elastic method
if the changes were always to fall on the 5th of the month.

the first note (actually a rest) occurred on Cage’s birthday in 2001.
Looking at the sound changes, they all take place on the 5th day of a varying
month, so it is inevitable that some of the events will occur in September,
on his birthday.
