The Silence list discusses the work of John Cage and related topics. While many of the members of the list are experts on his work, including several people who worked together with him, we welcome new members who are just discovering his work.
The list was founded in 1994 by Joseph Zitt, who still is the list manager. It has been hosted at a variety sites, and has been at the current site, through the graciousness of the University of Virginia and the intervention of Fred Maus, since 2002.
