Rod,

Google Maps will show you where all these places are.  You'll find that the Library of Congress, the National Gallery, and the Freer Gallery are within reasonable walking distance of each other as well as being within a block or so of Metro stops.  The Phillips Collection is not reasonably walkable from these three (25-30 blocks) but is near the Dupont Circle Metro stop.  The Katzen Arts Center is far from all of the above but is walkable (about 6 blocks) from the Tenleytown Metro stop.  The Kreeger Museum and the French Embassy are a possible but fairly long walk from each other and are neither walkable from any of the other sites (except maybe Katzen if you're energetic) nor near any Metro stop.  Your best bet for those sites may be a taxi; I don't know about the bus lines and schedules.  You'll get a sense of all this when you see it on Google Maps (where the Metro stops are identified by blue squares containing an "M").

I hope this helps!

Hallo Anaximeanderers

Before I consider plotting out a possible weeklong stay in DC
for the Cage Fest, is there, by chance (ahem...), already a map
of the district showing where each of the events are being held?
It would be nice to see such a thing before drawing lines and
schedules starting at the Kreeger Theater up to the National Gallery.
