The John Cage Centennial Festival will be held in Washington DC, Sept. 4-10, 2012 and will include a retrospective of music, dance, watercolors and theater and will include as participants important artists who collaborated with John Cage. The Festival is co-directed by Steve Antosca, and Karen and Roger Reynolds. Initial funding and other support was provided by the Randy Hostetler Living Room Music Project and Fund and subsequent funding has been provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, and the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities. A final and complete listing of events, dates, times, maps and directions, and where to order tickets when needed (most events are free) will be listed in August on www.johncage2012.  Meanwhile, a tentative and almost certain final listing of events, times and places is attached.

I hope this is helpful in planning your visit to the festival.

Hallo Anaximeanderers

Before I consider plotting out a possible weeklong stay in DC
for the Cage Fest, is there, by chance (ahem...), already a map
of the district showing where each of the events are being held?
It would be nice to see such a thing before drawing lines and
schedules starting at the Kreeger Theater up to the National Gallery.
