Hi all, To add to David and Rod's comments below: The DC Cage Festival is in the process of adding a general map to the website with public transportation info (Metro, Circulator). For dates and times of events, and complete listings, please see our website: www.johncage2012.com All of the venues are within Metro subway, Metro bus or Circulator bus stops and a few blocks walk. DC Metro: http://www.wmata.com/index.cfm DC Metobus: http://www.wmata.com/bus/ The venues include: TUESDAY, Sept. 4th (evening events) • Corcoran Gallery of Art across from the White House, (Farragut West Metro – about 4 blocks, less than 1/2 mile; Metro bus ) WEDNESDAY, Sept. 5th (afternoon and evening events) • National Gallery of Art East Building Auditorium on the National Mall (Circulator bus, Metro bus or Archives Metro – 2 long blocks) • La Maison Française on Reservoir Road in Georgetown (across the street and up a block from Georgetown U. Hospital emergency center) (Metro bus – French Embassy stop; Circulator bus – about an 8 block walk) THURSDAY, Sept. 6th (afternoon and evening events) • Library of Congress James Madison Building (the "new" building), Pickford Theater, on Capitol Hill (Capitol South Metro Station – 1 block walk; Metro and Circulator bus – in front) • Phillips Collection near Dupont Circle (Metro bus, or Dupont Circle Metro – a 2 block walk; Circulator bus is about a 5 block walk) FRIDAY, Sept. 7th (afternoon and evening events) • American University/Katzen Arts Center near Ward Circle (Metro at Tenleytown off Wisconsin Ave. less than a mile, a 15 minute walk - Nebraska Avenue is a wide, well lit street; Metro bus stop in front of Katzen Arts Center) SATURDAY, Sept. 8th (morning, afternoon and evening events) • American University percussion workshop (see above) • Kreeger Museum, on Foxhall Road between American U. and the Embassy of France (the nearest public transportation is the Metro bus with the closest stops about 1/2 to 3/4 miles away at Reservoir and Foxhall, near the Embassy of France, and Nebraska and Foxhall, near American U. ) • Freer Gallery on the National Mall (Circulator bus, Metro bus or at the Smithsonian Metro stop) SUNDAY, Sept. 9th (afternoon and evening events) • Hirshhorn Museum on the National Mall (Circulator bus, Metro bus or at the Smithsonian Metro stop) • National Gallery of Art East Building Auditorium and Atrium on the National Mall (Circulator bus, Metro bus or Archives Metro – 2 long blocks) MONDAY, Sept. 10th (all day events) • University of California Washington Center (Farragut North Metro Station or Dupont Circle Metro – about a 5 block walk, 1/2 mile; Metro bus) Please check the John Cage Centennial Festival Washington, DC website for updates.
