i am the one who first used the word "censorship" in the context of this
discussion. perhaps you did not understand that tim was the performer
here, but i did. it seems ridiculous to me that someone who performed
some music, and wants to share it [in whatever manner the performer
decides] is prevented from doing it not by the record label that may
have released the recordings [if there is a record label involved here
at all (i must admit i know nothing about tim's recording history)], but
instead by you tube [google (NSA)].

of course, it is not really censorship in the context of prohibiting
what are judged to be "outlaw ideas"; instead, these are economically
prohibited artistic products.

and yes, i was being consciously provocative, trying to tie what i see
as anti-culture copyright laws [70 years!] to political censorship-
which is generally thought to be regressive.

this is my opinion and you are welcome to disagree.
