Bob,

"Why is this person uploading a copyrighted musical work to Youtube?"
- Illegal? Strong word, which should be used a bit careful, please.

This person is a musician (me), which has made a recording by playing this piece on a piano. The recording becomes published on CDs and online (iTunes, Amazon & Co). It has nothing to do with youtube. The publishing rights are cleared by national music authors' societies, in my case the German "GEMA". For each sold CD or download I give a part of the (small enough) income to the right holders resp. the musical authors. So please: a little bit more careful (and attentive - who wrote anything about youtube?), before writing illegal.

Sorry, for I am a little bit upset,
Tim

Here I have to clearify.

My first reaction was "Why is this person uploading a copyrighted musical
work to Youtube?" Considering that such an upload is illegal (without
obtaining permission of the Cage Estate), calling that "censorship" seems
to be rather ironic.
