We've had Robert Jensen here at UNC-Chapel to show the film twice in the
past year, and the students in attendance really appreciated the film and
discussion afterward.  BUT, it's a tough, tough film to watch, and I think
it should be shown with careful planning and resources available.

As those of you who have seen it know, it's very explicit even in the edited
version... Jensen showed the edited version both times, and while that meant
the most explicit visual images were blurred, there are still many images of
sexual activity, including explicitly violent sexual activity.  It is not an
easy film to watch, and I can't imagine showing anything but the edited
version.

I think the film has a strong potential to trigger survivors, so I think you
should have appropriate counseling resources available if you screen the
film.  It's also important to give disclaimers before the film, including
telling people about counseling resources, telling them it's okay to leave,
and reminding them that looking away is always an option if they're
uncomfortable with what they are seeing.
