This week, Terry Eagleton will be giving a lecture series entitled "Hope without Optimism." Eagleton is, along with Frederic Jameson, one of the most important contemporary Marxist cultural critics, and somewhat paradoxically, a devout Catholic. The talks will be held on February 11th, 12th, and 13th, each at 4PM in the Harrison Institute (located in the special collections library).
