Hello VAA,
Join us this Thursday in Wilson 140 at 7PM to watch and discuss some interesting talks on secularism! Right now I have a TED Talk by Dan Dennett or Sam Harris lined up, but if there's time and interest, people are welcome to suggest material and propose questions of their own. As usual, we will be hanging out afterward, and perhaps even reviving the glorious VAA tradition of midnight IHOP!
Also, this Friday, we are going to be getting together to raise funds by selling food to people on Beta Bridge! If you want to help out, or else you get a certain sense of schadenfreude out of people watching drunks, we invite you to meet up with us at 10:30 PM, by Gildergreen at Brown College. If you need directions or have any questions about it, don't hesitate to contact either me or Tori.
With regards to last week's cancelled meeting: it appears that many people didn't have the time or ability to get their secret Valentine a gift. Please feel free to bring one if you got one, but do not feel obligated to or guilty if the snow kept you inside. I apologize for the inconvenience for anyone, and encourage you to eat that Valentine's Day candy you might otherwise give to your secret Valentine to console you in your grief.
Skeptically yours,
Erik W. Pomrenke
