Hey Everyone!
At the end of the month, it is planned for Greta Christina, author and atheist activist, to come and speak for the VAA. Her visit is part of a larger tour involving other atheist student groups of south eastern universities. Consequently, as collaborators in the tour we have certain responsibilities in order to make her appearance here possible.
Specifically, the Freethinkers of Virginia Tech will be hosting Greta immediately prior to us, and on the 28th they will be driving her halfway to Charlottesville. Thus, for our part, we need to meet them half way and bring Greta back to UVA. So, I need a driver!
The ride is about an hour and change, and would be an opportunity to have personal conversation with Greta, who aside from being highly interesting, seems rather accessible and nice as well. She'd probably enjoy telling about her upcoming book, “Why Are You Atheists So Angry? 99 Things that Piss Off the Godless." I personally would definitely volunteer to be a travel buddy, and gas costs could even be reimbursed as part of the travel costs for the tour, which are being covered by the Secular Student Alliance.
If you're interested in doing this, please let me know as soon as possible!
Thanks and much appreciation in advance.
Do it for atheism,
John
