Hello VAAers,

This week we will have Kelsey Hazzard with us, who is the president of Secular Pro-Life. She will be making the provocative argument that abortion can and should be opposed on secular grounds. 

I know this is an issue of great importance to many in the group, so I look forward to an enlivening and stimulating conversation.

A little about Kelsey:

For the past five years, Hazzard has made the secular case against abortion, setting aside religious rhetoric to focus on the core scientific and human rights issues at play in the abortion debate.  Her organization, Secular Pro-Life, unites pro-life atheists, theists, and agnostics.  She has been featured in numerous pro-life publications, and on National Public Radio.  She is also a third-year law student at the University of Virginia.
