WHY “LOVE IS LOVE?”

The Love is Love. T-Shirt Campaign started in 2009 as a celebration of love that is meant to create greater social awareness at the University of Virginia and beyond. The power of its message is found in its simplicity. It is a message that can span all communities. Regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and religion, all relationships are equal. All love is equal. Love is Love.  It’s not about what it looks like; it’s about how it feels.

WHY NOW?

Valentine’s Day is a holiday that celebrates love—but sometimes people in LGBTQ relationships can feel left out. Greeting cards for their partners are hard to come by, or florists don’t understand why a man would send another man roses. This is our way of reminding people that love comes in many different forms and is experienced differently by everybody. Regardless of your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religion, love is the same. All love is equal. Love is Love.

Please forward this message widely.
