I don’t know if contemporary Greek composer Vassiliki Filippeou was inspired by Cage in this work for cello and piano, but it feels like this to me. The long stretches of silence in one or the other instrument, the way the two instruments mostly coexist (rather than converse), the feeling of being in the moment (rather than going somewhere), the repetitions…
