National Sawdust presents Robert Wilson performing John Cage’s ‘Lecture on
Nothing’
Our friends at National Sawdust stream a special event with the celebrated
playwright, stage director, and performer Robert Wilson. For over fifty
years, Wilson has been on the vanguard of experimental stage work, building
an awe-inspiring set of landmark artistic collaborations with luminaries
Philip Glass, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, and Tom Waits,
among others. For this exceptional presentation — scheduled on the eighteenth
anniversary of the passing of John Cage — Wilson will present an appreciation
of the revolutionary composer with a solo performance of his famed 'Lecture
on Nothing’.

"All I know about method, is that when I am not working, I sometimes think I
know something, but when I am working, it is quite clear that I know nothing.”
— John Cage
