we are honored to invite you to the unique scientific conference: International Conference On the Neurophysiology of Silence (ICONS), which will take place in Assisi, July 26-28, 2019. The conference is organized by the Research Institute for Neuroscience, Education and Didactics of Paoletti Foundation together with Sapienza University and University of Haifa. The gathering brings together neuroscientists, philosophers, psychologists and contemplative practitioners, with the aim of centering on silence, the experience of a void, and seek for ways by which these different perspectives might enrich each other and provide a deeper understanding of this intriguing phenomenon. For the program and current list of speakers please visit the conference's website http://fondazionepatriziopaoletti.org/icons/

 

Call for abstracts: with the hope to create a lively hub for advancing the collaborative research of Neurophysiology of Silence, we are organizing a short oral presentation and poster session for students and researchers. We are currently accepting abstracts related to silence from neuroscientific, contemplative, philosophical, clinical, educational, psychological, biological and medical perspectives. We further welcome topics including, but not limited to, mind-body interactions, meditation, mindfulness, auditory processing, music, sign language. 

Abstracts should be sent by May 10th to .
