Thanks! It seems the ONLY prepared piano work performed regularly in '54 and '55, along with works by Feldman, was 31'57.9864.

Everyone else here agree ... based on the source below?

We're attempting to figure out which Cage prepared piano work Morty might be making reference to.

OR ... is the word "preparation" here in regard to i Ching preparations?
