hello
I think Six can't be combined. Child of tree can be combined with Branches. As the Variations are some sort of "machines" to produce programs to perform (in any sound, light, film, technical, etc. medium), it is safe to say that they can be combined with themselves. You need to have a situation (an instrument, electronics, a room, objects, friends, a space or spaces, etc.) to apply the Variation you need, so, the score combines with that situation you have previously selected. In Variations 1 and 2 that is not so clear, but from 3 onwards, it becomes more clear that you have something (the situation) that you filter o modulate with the materials in the score.
Usually when the score can be combined, it says in the instructions. Otherwise follow the general outlines of the Christian life

Bill TriggHello, everyone!I am wondering if there are specific pieces that can or can't be performed simultaneously. I am particularly interested in combining a percussion piece, such as Six, with live electronics, perhaps one of the Variations or Child of Tree. My recollection is that John didn't approve of just anything being performed simultaneously, but I don't recall any specifics. Thank you in advance!
