OK, I've found out how to subscribe to Silence nowadays. (The mailing
list software shifted out from under us, and finding the right
information was trickier than it should be,)

and nothing in the body

Please pass this on to anyone who has been trying to subscribe.

I hope to recreate an official info page for the list in the next few days.

By the way, in poking around the admin pages, i found that we have
about 950 subscribers on this list, which is far more than I had
thought! Thanks to all who read, post, and participate.
