Hello everyone!

There is a person named Sayra Pinto who has specialized in restorative processes (specifically Circles) in cases of sexual, gender-based, and interpersonal violence for many years.  Her PhD thesis explored the ontological frameworks of circle processes as they apply to ways-of-being in general.

Her website is http://www.masscircles.com/ and I’d be happy to facilitate e-introductions for anyone who might be interested.

Best,

Ramsey

I think David Karp from Campus PRISM has served as an RJ facilitator for similar situations on other campuses. Any interested campuses are welcome to join PRISM's work to explore using RJ as a method of addressing sexual misconduct: http://www.skidmore.edu/campusrj/prism.php

Hi All,

We have a large closed community on campus that is being investigated for violations of our policy. The Chancellor has tasked me with “the healing of the community” after the initial investigation is completed. My idea is to engage a restorative justice model (this would of course not be used to address incidents of sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and stalking). He has also made clear that we can bring in a facilitator to help with this effort. If anyone has any resources and or facilitator suggestions, please send them my way. Best, Sara

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
