Hello all,
-What has your university defined as a "public awareness event"?
I am looking for more information about Public Awareness Events under Title IX. I understand the basics outlined in Not Alone and the OCR FAQ. I would like to know how universities have interpreted this. Specifically:
-What has your university defined as a "public awareness event"?
-What is your university process to request an event be considered a public awareness event?
-What events have been denied as public awareness events?
-How have practitioners advocated for public awareness events as a means to mitigate the (potential) chilling effect of mandated reporting?
Any and all related responses are appreciated!
For private communication, you may e-mail me at . I am also happy to chat over the phone if individuals request my phone number.
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you all!
