University of Florida Police Department Victim Advocate- Job Number 498494 Closing Date: August 31, 2016 The University of Florida Police Department has a rewarding opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join our team of two Victim Advocates. As a Victim Advocate,
you will share the responsibilities for developing, implementing and coordinating activities related to the Victim Advocate Program. Activities will service the entire university community (students, faculty, and staff). Additional responsibilities include
assuring that 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week support and services are available for victims of actual or threatened violence, including but not limited to, battery, assault, sexual battery, (date rape, acquaintance rape, stranger rape) attempted sexual batter
and domestic violence. Also assists victims of harassment such as stalking, hate crime, etc. Inform and assist victims ass needed in following criminal and administrative proceedings. Meet the immediate needs of victims including transportation, safe housing,
immediate medical needs and academic assistance, etc. The applicant must possess both excellent communications and writing skills; must be willing to work an on-call schedule and is subject to an often busy schedule. If you believe you possess these qualifications,

of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Starting Salary: $39,746.75; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
