Hello, UC San Diego is hiring two positions: a Training & Education Specialist and an Intake & Program Coordinator to work in the CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center. UC San Diego CARE
is the confidential service provider for UCSD students, staff, and faculty impacted by sexual assault, dating violence, and domestic violence. CARE provides comprehensive direct services, prevention education, and training programs to the UCSD community.
Training & Education Specialist Description: Under the general supervision of the CARE at Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) Assistant Director, the Training & Education Specialist will be responsible for the organization, planning and implementation of
training and education for the department. The incumbent will review and evaluate department training and education efforts, and manage the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programming for faculty, staff and students.
The incumbent will implement trauma-informed education and training programs for targeted audiences to cover initial orientation for new students and staff/faculty as well as on-going education throughout the academic year.
The Training & Education Specialist will be responsible for developing and producing all department promotional materials.
The incumbent oversees all marketing efforts in relation to department led campus-wide campaigns and educational efforts. The Training & Educational Specialist will develop and oversee the implementation of the department peer
education, internship, and volunteer programs. The Training & Education Specialist will interface professionally with a broad range of collaborative contacts within the CARE at SARC office, across campus, and with external organizations.
Intake & Program Coordinator Description: Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the Intake & Program Coordinator will serve as an intake coordinator for all new clients, providing critical support in client intake assessments and tracking of
services. Incumbent will assess services needed, schedule counseling appointments with clinical provider, and make referrals to appropriate on-campus/off campus resources. Will also develop and maintain intake forms and tracking information to assist with
generating reports of clinical services and educational programs provided. The Intake & Program Coordinator will support departmental efforts in expanding the current programs, services, activities, trainings and events to increase campus awareness of services and resources available to students,
staff, and faculty at UC San Diego. Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director, the Intake & Program Coordinator will coordinate requests for and logistics for education programs to individuals, groups or campus units.
Provides administrative support (i.e. travel arrangements, reimbursements, scheduling) to the Director, Assistant Director, and Training & Education Specialist. This position will provide support for programming efforts led
by Training & Education Specialist. This position will assist with coordinating marketing/publicity for programs, including online outreach efforts and corresponding media campaigns, reports, meetings, media/website, and workshops/trainings.
Under the supervision of Assistant Director, incumbent will assist with coordinating logistics and support for all CARE at SARC orientation efforts, new staff and faculty trainings, and any other educational programs that meet
various mandates. Will provide primary program/department administrative support including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and records management.
