Dear Wonderful Colleagues,

I hope everyone’s 2015 is off to a productive and positive start. Team RespectCon has been working tirelessly to bring you more details on RespectCon, which is on April 10, 2015 (only twelve weeks away!). Below is NEW information about program submissions and registration details.

If you are thinking about submitting a program to RespectCon, we’ve added materials to help you. Click here for the new Proposal Resources page. We created a “How To (Write A Great Proposal) Guide”, a RespectCon-specific Proposal Template, and some Sample Proposals to get your creative ideas flowing. We especially encourage you to share these resources with your students, as they are geared toward first-time conference attendees. As a reminder, all proposals are due by 11:59pm on Friday, January 30, 2015. RespectCon Coordinator Emily Faerber () can answer all your proposal-related questions, so please get in touch!

Get registered! Our registration page is now live. Registration gives you access to the conference sessions, as well as lunch (and snacks) on the day of the conference. Register at https://respectcon15.eventbrite.com.

Please forward to additional colleagues/organizations that may be interested in this opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you in April!

RespectCon 2015 is a low-cost one-day conference focusing particularly on understanding sexual violence through a social justice lens. The purpose is understanding the connections between sexual violence and other forms of oppression, thereby connecting this work to broader structural inequities and integrating our work into social justice movements. Our aim is to create a unique environment for participants to share information and exchange ideas on preventing sexual violence and creating more survivor-supportive and socially just institutions of higher education. Additional info on RespectCon (including registration details) can be found on our website here.

Sincerely,

Team RespectCon 2015

Nowmee Shehab, ‘16C, RespectCon Senior Coordinator
