Hi Megan,

If the survivor is willing, I would get permission to speak to the disability service area to better understand her academic accommodations that she is entitled to and then arrange for those accommodations in the investigation and disciplinary process to ensure that she is not at a disadvantage in any way.  Otherwise, I agree with the suggestions provided on the listserv.

I’m working with a survivor who has a developmental disability, and I’m wondering if anyone has experience in this area. The student initially disclosed to a faculty member, and thus has triggered our Title IX process. I’m not sure if the student needs any additional support in a Title IX investigation. If any of you have experience with this, can you email me back and let me know what to be aware of and what to request (if anything)? The student is currently registered with our university disability services office.

Thanks!
