While not an explicit requirement, as Sen. McCaskill backed off it, a recurring theme throughout the bill is facilitating the involvement of local law enforcement in responding to campus sexual violence. The “forensic” interview is, I believe, a part of this. Collectively I have larger concerns that even with the language addressing respecting victim/survivor wishes built in that this may drive some schools to default in that direction whether or not the victim/survivor wants it or is ready.

Wow...are they thinking the campus advocates would do this, or another person who is trained to conduct interviews?  I am picturing a Title IX-like investigator who happens to be confidential.  If the expectation is current advocates, I am a little, well, speechless.
