Hello Marie-

I posted about this a month or so ago, but you may be interested in bringing my partner, Marc Grimmett, to campus. He can show the 34 minute documentary he co-directed, My Masculinity Helps, followed by a Q&A.  It focuses on bystander interventions, non-stranger assaults, and the emphasis on men, particularly African American men, as being helpers.  You can see the trailer here:

Along side the film and Q&A, he has also been doing a talk on rape culture entitled "Rape Culture, Separating From the Matrix."

He has recently screened the film at several campuses in North Carolina including Duke University, NC Central University and Appalachian State University, as well as Ohio State University. I'd be happy to put you in touch with the folks who organized the events so you could get a sense of the program and how it was received.

We’ve just received a small budget to fund a speaker for our Sexual Assault Awareness event on April 10^th.  We would love someone who is dynamic and engaging.  Preferably  they would be someone with experience with working with minority and extremely diverse groups.
