Hi Karen and Nikki, Good news! We have four Sexual Misconduct Prevention, Protocol, Procedure and Policy Institutes scheduled for November through February in your area. There are over 20 events in all the big cities throughout the country. Each is a single day conference packed full of ideas, research, and sharing of strategies. Plus there are more reasons to go: 1. Survivor speakers 2. Title IX training 3. Dear Colleague Letter take-away’s 4. Sexual Misconduct Response Network development options 5. A huge manual of collected resources from schools all over the country for each attendee The Institutes should be truly both fun and useful! And, I would like to personally extend the offer of complimentary attendance for one person from each 200 schools throughout the country! I reserved space for 20 “free spots” per event for members of our listserve. When we held our Take Back The Night Conference two years ago at Columbia, we were able to offer 100 free spots for attendees. Now, we are able to double that for these events, thanks to generosity of our hosts—from Stanford to Oglethorpe and Madeira School to St. Louis University! To register, please visit: This listserve has been a wonderful treat and resource for everyone, and I enjoy reading about the incredible work that everyone is doing. This is my two decade thank you to all of you who have worked so hard for change and raising awareness. I hope to meet many of you as we caravan across the country this year! Again, thank you for all you do! Fondly, Katie Katherine Koestner (P) 866-966-9013 | (F) 866-966-9923

[mailto:] Hi All, We too are in the process of implementing a new peer advocate program, and are hoping to launch at the end of the semester . I’m wondering if there might be any interest in holding a small conference for schools with programs like this to connect, explore challenges, share best practices, etc.? Although we’re far from centrally located, we’d be happy to host here in Middlebury, VT. This could be a great opportunity for student advocates to begin to build networks across campuses as well. Thoughts? Karen Karen S. I would love to connect with some of you who have this in place on your campus. Or, if you had this available in the past and it didn't work out, I would like to hear from you as well. Does anyone have policies/protocols in place to identify this response process? Are you willing to share? Please email me if you're willing to discuss. Thanks so much! Nikki Godfrey, MSW |
