Hi, friends and colleagues!  I was thrilled to be involved with this skit – we performed it several times on the Washington, DC Metro a few weeks ago.  The skit was designed to be performed in between Metro stops, so the whole video is less than two minutes long.

Many thanks to Holly Kearl, author of the book Stop Street Harassment: Making Public Places Safe and Welcoming for Women, who played the “harassee” in the skit http://hollykearl.com.   Also Zosia Sztykowski and the rest of the folks at DC Collective Action for Safe Spaces, including their new volunteer John Bartelloni http://www.collectiveactiondc.org/.  Both of them played bystanders.  Special thanks to Micah Bochart for traveling with me to DC, filming many performances, editing and releasing this video.

The skit is definitely a work in progress – those of us who produced it hope that it’s adapted and changed for YOUR community.  Please let us know if you do!
