Dear Friends and colleagues:

A young man named Moses Okoth has founded a men's anti-violence group in Kenya, the first such group in the country.  He's trying to raise enough money to fly to Atlanta for the Men Against Violence gathering.  He's doing an amazing job of connecting up with activists around the world for advice and support, but he really feels that this would help him solidify his organization and effectiveness.

I am writing to all of you to ask you to visit his fundraising page: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/shelleyserdahely/shelleyserdahelysfundraisingpage?utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=share&utm_source=at-facebook&utm_content=eua#.T3nHSe5cv6U.facebook, and consider whether or not you might make a small contribution to his travel expenses.  The conference is coming up in August and he has a long way to go before reaching his goal.  His work is vitally important, and any help will also help the women and children of Kenya.

Feel free to pass this request to friends and colleagues whom you feel might be interested in Moses' work.

Thanks so much,
Claire
