Hi,
My name is Marcie Campbell and I am the research associate for an online Learning Network that the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children in London, Ontario, Canada is implementing.  I recently sent out an email asking if anyone knew of any information on training curriculum for peer support/non-therapist support for victims of sexual violence and if this training has been developed by evaluated resources or if the training itself has been evaluated.  I have already received some responses thank you.
One thing that I have noticed is that much of the research is on bystander prevention training and not necessarily front line support.  I am curious to know if there is any training for non-therapists that engage with actual victims (for example, what would an employer do to provide support for one of their employees that disclosed sexual assault).  I feel that there is not much out there on this topic, especially empirically supported.  I am wondering if there is empirically supported training for crisis line workers.  Have you heard about anything like this?
Thank you so much for your response.  I appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Marcie Campbell
