This year we were able to implement mandatory education for first-year
students through an online program that we developed with University Health
Services. Students complete the program during the summer and are unable to
register for classes until they complete their online course. We were able
to do this largely in part because we had the support of our Associate Vice
President for Student Affairs and University President.
In addition to this, our peer educators conduct workshops on sexual assault,
intimate partner violence, and stalking in all the residence halls during the
first few weeks of school. We partner with residence hall staff to insure
that students are attending. We also provide t-shirts, buttons, etc. to
people who attend.
I'd be happy to provide more information if you are interested.
Thanks!

I know there are many good programs and materials--
but are there any (larger) universities that have actually made it MANDATORY
for all incoming freshmen to get education in this area?
