Hi Anna,
We have a program called "Survivor Support Network" for faculty, staff,
administrators, TAs & other grad students, as well as undergrad student
leaders who might have an office of some kind (RAs, SGA, etc.) They
participate in a 2.5 hour training, receive reading and resource materials on
sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and child sexual abuse
(since students bring their baggage to the university). They also have a
sticker that they can put in a visible location so that others can identify
them as an ally. A link to a local media story about it is at
http://www.dailyprogress.com/cdp/news/local/article/uva_sexual_assaults_underreported_02_19_08_cdp/2858/
. If you'd like to see a copy of the sticker, I can send you a jpg file.

I was wondering if anyone is aware of a gatekeeper-style of training
aimed at increasing entry points to student support services for
students affected by rape or sexual assault. I am interested in
something similar to the QPR model for suicide prevention that trains
students, faculty, and staff to be better at responding to a friend or
student who may come to them looking for help or guidance after an
assault - mainly with referral skills and how not to shut someone down
when they are reaching out.
