Executive Director, NCCASA

North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault establishes the "Teal
Ribbon Fund: Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence" for survivors of
rape and sexual assault

RALEIGH, NC-In order to continue assisting survivors of sexual violence
in North Carolina, the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault
(NCCASA) has established the "Teal Ribbon Fund: Supporting Survivors of
Sexual Violence."  The purpose of the Teal Ribbon Fund is to assist
survivors in the areas of support and services should their local rape
crisis center be unable to assist them with needs such as advanced
counseling, bill payment due to loss of employment, transportation, or
civic legal representation.  Contributions to the Teal Ribbon Fund are
tax deductible.

Additionally, if individuals or organizations would like to provide
services for survivors such as pro-bono civic legal representation,
donation of a vehicle, or counseling or therapy services, please contact
NCCASA.

Community support of survivors is an integral component to recovery and
healing.  "Although sexual violence has a life-long impact on survivors
and the Teal Ribbon Fund will only scratch the surface, it is the least
we can do to show our support for survivors," says Monika Johnson
Hostler, Executive Director of NCCASA.  While these crimes are
perpetrated against individuals, it is essential that the community
support survivors and come together to prevent sexual violence.

The North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault would like to invite
all North Carolinians to support survivors of sexual violence and
contribute to the "Teal Ribbon Fund."  Together, we will end rape and
sexual assault!

To contribute, please send checks with "Teal Ribbon Fund" in the memo
line to:
