Since when is it the victim's responsibility to stop a crime?
Money and resources should be spent educating and hopefully preventing
future perpetrators.
Can you imagine the cross exam at a trial where the perpetrator was
caught because the victim used a card? "How many drinks were you
intending to drink? Is it common for you to accept drinks from people
you don't know?"
This is just the next short skirt issue.

Dear Colleagues:

Does anyone have any written materials for parents/families about sexual
violence on campus that they'd be willing to share? I'm especially looking
for a piece that talks about how parents/family members can talk to their
students about the realities (not the myths) of sexual assault on campus in
ways that are clear about risk reduction v. prevention, and not
victim-blaming. Tall order, I know.
