Does anyone have experience with the use of closed circuit television
cameras when conducting campus judicial hearings? If so, do you have any
contacts I could speak to about using them and/or do you have any
thoughts of your own on the subject?
Thanks in advance,
Cathy

Good Morning Sapc-ers!
My name is Stephanie Kunkel and I'm a grad student on the Florida Atlantic
University Campus, and the co-chair of our NOW chapter. I'm writing to you
today to ask your assistance as we try to amend our policies and procedures
for handling allegations of rape/sexual assault/sexual harassment on our
campus. After two very public rapes last school year, we contacted our
President's office to ammend our policies and create an office which would
deal with these issues, as our EOP office currently handles all complaints.
In addition, an ammendment is being addressed by our board of trustees as to
the length of time allocated to investigate a rape/sexual assalut/sexual
harassment complaint on our campus from the current 60 days, to 120 days.
We feel these are real problems that need to be addressed.
Here's where you come in. We'd like information from as many campuses to
take to our President to get more funding and education done on our campus
to prevent rape/sexual assalut and harassement, as well as better services
for the victims.
What I need is the following:
1. Name of school, number of students in attendance
2. Office where rape/sexual assault/sexual harassment is reported to and
investigations and services are provided from
3. Number of staff working in this office to handle reports and services
4. Fiscal budget allocated to services on campus
5. School policies in place for rape/sexual assault/sexual harassment (if
you have a handbook or info you could mail or email to me, I would greatly
appreciate it)
6. Any other information you think would be of assistance
I appreciate any and all help you can give us, as we are a small number of
students working to make a difference on our campus. Thank you in advance
for anything you can send me.
In Solidarity,
Stephanie Kunkel
