Excerpts from the "research" by Eugene J. Kanin, Ph.D. are available at...

http://www.menweb.org/throop/falsereport/kanin.html

According to that source 41% of rape complaints in one metropolitan police
department's jurisdiction over a nearly 10 year period (1978-1987) were
false because "by the complainant's admission... no rape had occurred."
