Louisiana's first statewide Sexual Assault Conference will be held Dec. 3-5,
2003, in Baton Rouge. Plenary speakers include Don McPherson, Cassandra
Thomas and Jody Plauche, and workshop tracks are: Building the Case; Medical
& Forensic Issues; Advocacy, Therapy and Prevention; and Offender Management
& Treatment.
This conference is relevant for advocates, community educators, therapists
and counselors, as well as SANE/SAFE nurses, SART team coordinators,
prosecutors, law enforcement officers, judges, corrections officers,
probation and parole officers, crime lab personnel, offender treatment
providers, and child and adult protective service staff.
