wanderlab - Announcements for Wanderlab Meetings

Subject: Announcements for Wanderlab Meetings

Description: The Wanderlab, run by Zac Irving and Trey Boone, is a space for graduate students and faculty to discuss their work in humanistic (and specifically philosophical) cognitive science. We will meet one Tuesday (12–1pm) every month in the Cocke Hall Library. Lunch is provided. During the meetings in Fall 2025, faculty and graduate students will present works in progress.

This listserv will be used only to remind people about lab meetings and associated events.

We are methodological pluralists, so papers can range from empirically-informed philosophical work (moral psychology, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, and so on) to experimental or computational studies that build on philosophical ideas. Some of the work will revolve around Irving and Boone's research on mind-wandering and the philosophy of neuroscience, but other interdisciplinary work at the intersection of philosophy and the sciences is welcome. Interested students from other areas of the humanities and sciences are welcome.
