Description: The Wahoo Wire is a student-run online media news platform focused on the world of sports with Virginia Athletics at its core. Wahoo Wire is an outlet for aspiring sports journalists, writers, photographers, editors, graphic designers, business managers, and marketers at Virginia. The magazine is designed with the interests of Virginia students, alumnae, parents, and sports enthusiasts in mind.

Wahoo Wire will include in-depth analysis of the teams and individual players of the Cavaliers--personal interviews with past and current members of Virginia athletics-- ACC coverage featuring reporting done by Virginia students as well as students from other ACC institutions-- sports satire-- opinion articles-- and most importantly, journalism that illustrates the connection between sports and culture both in the United States and abroad. Wahoo Wire will present this information using a variety of platforms, from written articles to video reports and photo albums.

Consistent with Federal and State law, Wahoo Wire will not discriminate in any of its programs, procedures or practices on the basis of age, color, disability, national or ethnic origin, political affiliation race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or veteran status.

Notwithstanding these requirements, the organization may restrict membership based on an ability to perform the activities related to the organizations purpose.

Membership of Wahoo Wire can include Undergraduate members and Graduate members. No restrictions will limit current staffs from working on more than one University Publication.

The list serve is to be used for matters regarding the CIO the Wahoo Wire such as meeting information, content ideas, sports discussion, and other topics relating in some way to the Wahoo Wire.

No slurs, no jokes making fun of people who cant control the way they are, and no abuse of swear words are to be used on the list serve. Those who break these rules do not represent the views of the Wahoo Wire staff and will be dealt with accordingly.
