Subject: UVA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Interdisciplinary Working Group

Description: The purpose of our group is to forge connections across departments and schools among people working on research related to DEI. We plan to bring graduate students and post docs from across grounds to discuss their research and consider DEI issues pertinent to their own field in community with other researchers committed to the same broad values. We hope to expose scholars to people and work they might otherwise be unaware of and thus improve the work of individuals, establish a rich community of researchers committed to DEI, and facilitate collaboration.

We are currently funded by UVA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion grants.
