Subject: This is the listserv of the 1920 Society

Description: This organization seeks to:

1. educate male and female members of the University of Virginia community on issues relevant to female health professionals and their patients.

2. strengthen a sense of community and support for female health care students and professionals within the University of Virginia community.

3. advance the idea that there are no “women’s issues,” but rather human issues that affect the entire community. By showcasing underexposed or marginalized issues in a humanistic light, this organization hopes to transcend gendered attitudes towards female patients and the practitioners who care for them.
