Subject: Shades of Sisterhood at UVA

Description: The purpose of Shades of Sisterhood (SOS) is to provide the space and opportunity for community and sisterhood between women of the Black Diaspora in graduate and professional studies across UVA's grounds. SOS provides an inclusive open forum where students of this intersection can come together and fellowship over shared experiences. Shades of Sisterhood also provides an opportunity for Black women graduate and professional students to interact with Black women faculty and staff from across grounds to discuss life and professional careers for women of the diaspora.
