Description: In April 2016, an anonymous family made a leadership-level gift to endow the Parents Rainy Day Fund.

This fund will help students facing financial difficulties that could derail their studies by providing one-time allocations at a time of personal or financial emergency. As it grows, the Rainy Day Fund will also help students who need assistance for extracurricular activities, allowing them to attend a conference or pursue a project.

The UVA Parents Fund will administer the program, and distributions will be determined by the Office of the President, with assistance from Student Financial Services and the Division of Student Affairs.
