gi-rag - GANG-RAG

Subject: GANG-RAG

Description: We hereby invite you to join the Gastrointestinal Research Affinity Group (GI RAG).

This group seeks to bring together anyone interested in basic, translational, and/or clinical research associated with the gut. The guiding philosophy is to advance everyone's research, particularly translational endeavors. Clinicians are particularly welcome given their familiarity with the problems the basic researchers need to address. The GI RAG will provide members with an opportunity to meet regularly, exchange ideas, and apply for pilot funding. Members are also encouraged to develop ideas for research infrastructure investment by the Department of Pediatrics, which will house the RAG.

To join the GI RAG, all we ask is:
1. A response to (CLH4HE@virginia.edu) that you’re in terested in becoming a member and would like to be added to our email list.
2. Your CV and NIH Biosketch. These documents will be added to a searchable database to enhance collaboration.

The RAG will hold monthly meetings to present data, connect members, and develop research ideas. Attendance is of course optional but encouraged. Trainees will be strongly encouraged to participate.

If you decide to join us, we will send weekly emails with funding announcements, RAG-events, and more great info for conducting GI Research at UVA.
