Subject: Enabling Public Access to Scholarship and Data Working Group

Description: The EPASD Working Group’s mission is to build university-wide support mechanisms, services, and communication channels to enable UVA researchers' compliance with the public access mandates for output of federally sponsored research, coming into effect at the end of 2025. The Working Group is charged with the development and coordination of scholarly communications and data infrastructure, workflows, and services, in partnership with key stakeholders at UVA, that support UVA researchers in meeting public access mandates for output of federally sponsored research (e.g., datasets, software, models, and publications) coming into effect not later than December 31, 2025. Library and University units will retain primary responsibility for implementation of relevant services and strategies, but the Working Group will help facilitate communication, coordination, and consistency across all units engaged in this effort.
