LovEd is a student-led group at the School of Education and Human Development for educators and other school personnel who aim to show up authentically as members of the LGBTQIA2S community, and allied educators who want to create a safe learning environment.

LovEd does not restrict its membership, programs, or activities on the basis of age, color, disability, gender identify, marital status, military status (which includes active-duty members, reserve service members and dependents), national or ethnic origin, political affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, and family or genetic information absent an approved petition to restrict.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise, or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts, or omissions.
