Subject: Early American history

Description: The Early American Seminar is an ongoing research seminar based in Charlottesville, Va. It is a forum for faculty, graduate students, and other scholars to present and discuss works in progress on the history and culture of early America, broadly conceived, ca. 1500-1830. It is jointly sponsored by the Corcoran Department of History at UVA, the International Center for Jefferson Studies at Monticello (ICJS), and the Jefferson Scholars Foundation (JSF).
