Subject: Cville Tulips

Description: Cville Tulips is a community engagement initiative under the Sound Justice Lab - a gender justice laboratory dedicated to scholarship around gender justice and creative practice. Cville Tulips was started by faculty member Bonnie Gordon, and Marjan Omranian. Cville Tulips engages Afghan women and children refugees in bi-weekly community gatherings that center around English-learning and creative practice in the hopes of building community amongst the refugees.
