Fellow nonbelievers,
Join us this Thursday at 7PM for our weekly meeting in Clark Hall G004 for a presentation we've called "Atheism 101," given by none other than our Rolph Recto! Arguments for and against God's existence will be presented and discussed, so please come prepared to think critically. This will be a great overview for newer members who may not be familiar with some of the more formal arguments concerning God's existence, and will be a great refresher for everyone else.
We are also planning to have our annual VAA Ted Talks in a couple weeks, and we encourage all interested members to begin thinking of potential topics. Note that these talks do not have to be related to atheism, the secular movement, or philosophy; if it's interesting, we want to hear about it! If you'd like to talk, please reply to this email so we can gauge interest.
Do you like football? Do you like eating food and hanging out with friends? Are you ambivalent about these things, but don't have any other plans for the Superbowl? We're tentatively planning a Superbowl Party where we get together with food and drinks and watch some good ole sports, so set aside the date if you're interested!
Finally, we're (always!) taking dues! Dues will enfranchise you in our imminent elections and help us to continue doing cool and fun stuff. They're $10 and can be given to either me, Tori, or Scott!
Your stalwart companion in skepticism,
--
